In Season 8, 10 contestants fight to survive in the Canadian wilderness on the shores of Chilko Lake, British Columbia. Equipped with just 10 items and a camera kit, each participant must survive in total isolation, with the hopes of lasting the longest and winning the $500,000 prize. Not only must they endure hunger, loneliness and the elements, but this season, they also face the deadliest predator in North America: the grizzly bear. No camera crews. No gimmicks. 　　7組競(jìng)爭(zhēng)者共14人分別空降到溫哥華島的北部，每組的兩個(gè)隊(duì)員一共可以選擇10個(gè)生存裝備，并平分裝備。每組中需要選擇一人降落在營(yíng)地，另一人則降落在距離營(yíng)地16km（1 mi）的地方并需要靠指南針徒步到營(yíng)地。每個(gè)人都可以在任何時(shí)間退出游戲，同時(shí)另一名組員也會(huì)自動(dòng)被退出游戲。如果有組員因?yàn)槭軅顺?，那么與主動(dòng)退出游戲一樣。堅(jiān)持到最后一組的兩名成員獲得50萬美金。
