本片片名來自英國民間的《鵝媽媽童謠集》，根據(jù)約翰?勒卡雷的同名小說改編。

　　Starz劇集《古戰(zhàn)場傳奇》還在拍攝第4季，如今就正式宣布一連續(xù)訂第5、6兩季，畢竟收視率很好。新續(xù)訂的兩季各有12集，預(yù)計2019和2020年播出，依次會基于原作小說《異鄉(xiāng)人》系列中的《血十字》和《雪塵的呼吸》。而且這兩季后，小說還有兩本沒拍完，現(xiàn)在作者Diana Gabaldon還在寫一本新的，所以第6季很可能也不是該劇終點。
